CAN CHAPEL STREET GET ANY MORE COOL

THE OLSEN

This beautiful new Art Hotel is a must when visiting Melbourne.  She has 2 sister hotels in The Cullen and the brand new Blackman Hotels all in the vicinity of South Yarra and St Kilda Road.

John Olsen, the featured artist, really gives this place the feeling you are staying inside an Art Gallery, but in comfort.

I loved the layout of the rooms and the glass dividing panel between the generous bathroom and the bedroom was magnificently etched with an Olsen masterpiece.  Our room looked straight down Chapel Street and for once the bed was positioned so you could enjoy the wonderful cityscape.  And you are right there near the corner of Toorak Road - restuarants everywhere especially Cafe E Cucina; shopping, shopping, shopping; convenient reliable transport - everything you need for an excellent Melbourne experience.

They even have bicycle hire with cane baskets and Smartcars you can rent for short periods if you need to go further afield.   They have thought of everything - and with a brand new Woolies hidden inside Vogue Plaza across the road, if you need to stay in for a night, the room had a very stylish mini kitchen.  Can't wait to stay there again!
